You saw in the news yesterday that 25,000 walkers raised over
$3,000,000 at AIDS Walk San Francisco. But, the fundraising is not
over yet! We have a chance to help increase the fundraising total in
the next few days, and have come up with a great way to make it
happen!
gift program"... MBCC has budgeted some money to support our
walkers. There is currently about $400 that we would like to give in
a matching plan sort of way. Here is how you can turn that $400 fund
(combined with $800 in sponsor donations) into $1,200! This program
is in effect for the rest of this week, first come, first served,
until the $400 fund is distributed. Here's how it works: 1. Walker must be a regular attendee of MBCC. 2. Matching grants will be made 50 cents on the dollar. For example,
a $50 donation would
be matched with $25; limit is $50 grant per sponsor. So yes, if you
get TWO donations of $100 you can get up to $50 in matching for each. 3. Because there is no way to really know when each walker received
their donation, in order to get this grant and to determine the order
of distribution, you must post that you received a gift, on the MBCC
blog post. blogs.missionbaycc.org For example, the first post last
year said "Just donated $50 to myself so there goes the first $25 of
the matching". 4. For any cash/check donations received after last Sunday morning's
sign-in, contact marc@missionbaycc.org for help filling out a sponsor
sheet with the amount of each donation, so that it will be credited to
the correct walker. Do NOT show any dollar amount in the matching
gift columns, because this is "Not a corporate matching gift program". 5. Regardless of whether it's a cash/check or an online donation, be
sure to post something on the MBCC blog so that we know about it.
Hopefully all of you kept a record of whatever cash/checks you turned
in already at sign-in. Online donations show up on your personal
fundraising web page on the aidswalk.net/sanfran site, so you can look
it up there. 6. After the end of this week, or when the $400 is exhausted
(whichever comes first), we will forward the grants to the AIDS Walk

I am donating $25 for myself + $25 for tika= $50, so I am claiming $25 of the matching moola.
