Attention all Ladies of MBCC!  It's not too late to sign up for the annual Women's Retreat at Westminster Woods!!

The Woods is a PC(USA)-affiliated summer camp in Sonoma County, about an hour-and-a-half drive North of San Francisco.  Nestled among beautiful trees, rocks, and streams, the Woods is a perfect setting for reconnecting with God, nature, yourself, and your fellow LoM (Ladies of MBCC).

A group of lovely LoM will be attending the January 29-31 retreat led by Rev. Gail Doering. The theme is "Soul Food: Nourishment for the Mind, Body & Spirit." There is no doubt that it will be a weekend of fun, fellowship, music, the great outdoors, delicious food, and Jesus!! Can it get any better? I don't know if it can.

Women's retreat anyone?

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's celebration!

This post is a special post for the ladies!

Westminster Woods is a Presbyterian Camp and Conference center in Occidental, CA (about an hour and a half north of here). It is an absolutely beautiful camp in the Redwoods and they have delicious food! The Rev. Lydia Richards will be speaking, and there will be special art projects and yoga (for an additional charge), but also plenty of down time for playing  Bananagrams and Quiddler and exploring camp/the beach nearby/ the river nearby. Yay!

They are hosing a Women's Retreat from January 30th, to February 1st. Check in begins at 5:30, but we can probably arrange a carpool to leave San Francisco around 5:30 or 6:00 pm. The weekend ends after Sunday brunch. We should be back in San Francisco around 2:00 on Sunday.

The cost is $160 which includes housing and meals. We'll be sleeping in heated cabins with bunk beds, and I'm hoping we can get a group of MBCC ladies to room together!

To register, you'll need to go here and create an account. You are the camper and you are in N/A grade. Click on Non-Summer Camps, and then Women's Weekend. If you want to go on Thursday, you can click on Women's Head Start.  I think most of us will just go on Friday. Then you can just go through and register.

I think this retreat will be an awesome way for the women of MBCC to grow closer together, and a great way for us to grow spiritually together over a weekend! Be there or be square!
